The Washington County Recreation Access Coalition (RAC) is a coalition of local nonprofits, businesses, and community members representing a diverse range of recreation and conservation interests. Together, we work to protect, enhance, and advocate for Washington County’s open spaces and recreation areas.

Trail Alliance of Southern Utah
A volunteer-driven nonprofit that creates, enhances, and protects recreational trail experiences by advocating for trail access, planning and building new trails, maintaining existing trail systems, and promoting responsible trail stewardship throughout Southern Utah. Working in partnership with land managers, local governments, businesses, and volunteers, TASU helps develop sustainable, high-quality trails for mountain bikers and other outdoor recreation enthusiasts while ensuring they remain accessible for future generations.

Southern Utah Climber’s Alliance
A nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting climbing access, preserving climbing areas, and promoting responsible stewardship throughout Southwestern Utah, Northwestern Arizona, and Southeastern Nevada. Working alongside land managers, private landowners, and the climbing community, SUCA advocates for long-term access, replaces aging climbing hardware, maintains trails and crags, and supports conservation efforts to ensure these climbing resources remain safe and accessible for future generations.

St George Climber’s Coalition
A nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting climbing access, improving climber safety, providing education, and fostering a strong climbing community throughout the St. George area. Through partnerships with land managers and organizations such as the Access Fund and the American Safe Climbing Association, SGCC leads trail maintenance, rebolting, stewardship, and community outreach efforts to help ensure local climbing areas remain safe, sustainable, and accessible for future generations.

Conserve Southwest Utah
A nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving Southern Utah’s natural and cultural resources by advocating for public lands, water conservation, smart growth, and responsible stewardship. Through education, community engagement, volunteer programs, and policy advocacy, CSU works with residents, local governments, and partner organizations to protect the region’s landscapes, wildlife, recreation opportunities, and quality of life for present and future generations.
